Hi, I am Danny Wallis.  I am a London based Personal Trainer and Sports Therapist with over 20 years experience. Welcome to my website!

I am here to help solve your health and fitness related problems either online, or personally within our 1-2-1 sessions at my studio in South East London. 

Getting fitter, healthier and reducing postural pain is a lot easier than you think.  I am here to help guide you on your journey and support you on the way. There is a lot of conflicting advice out there.  My aim is to help you start achieving your goals with tried and tested advice that actually works!

My Beginners Guide (below) is a great place to start finding your focus, gaining some confidence and discovering how easy getting fitter and healthier can be. 

Let's Get You Started

My professional skill-set is broken down into four main areas.  I use these skills with my clients to help them achieve a wide variety of different goals.  As what you eat equals around 80% of your results from working out, let's start with what you are eating. 

Nutrition

Nutrition can be a deep and confusing subject, so I am going to keep things as simple and easy to understand as possible. In my experience the best way to help you start you on your fitness journey is to give you simple, actionable goals, rather than just throw knowledge at you.  

Losing body-fat or gaining muscle is dependant upon how many calories you eat.  If you are in a constant deficit your body will begin to burn fat. If you are eating a surplus of calories, your body will begin to gain weight which can then be used to build muscle with an appropriate exercise programme. 

MyFitnesspal is a brilliant FREE food and calorie tracker app which works across all devices.  It will easily work out how many calories you should be eating to help you achieve your goals, then tell you how many you have left for the rest of the day.  

In addition, it will also help you keep a track on your macronutrients.  These are carbohydrates, proteins and fats, which you ideally need the correct balance of.  Download MyFitnessPal on the app store and start tracking your calories today.  You won't need to do it forever, just until you are eating a little more consciously.

Mind-Set & Motivation

The next thing we need to consider is your mind-set.  As a N.L.P (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) coach, I am a firm believer that a positive mind-set creates positive actions.  This is essential for your continued success as we help you strive towards a healthier version of you. 

In terms of long term success, the smart way of moving forward is to integrate new, healthy habits into your lifestyle which are designed to help you maintain a healthier body more easily. This way, once a habit is created, it becomes easy to maintain and changing your body seems simple.

Pain Relief

In addition to my personal training qualifications, I am also a certified Sports Therapist.  This means I can diagnose and treat soft tissue injuries.  

Over the last 20 years I have gained a vast amount of hands on experience with postural pain and discomfort caused by poor biomechanics.  Back pain, knee and shoulder discomfort can often be caused by excessive sitting down at our desks, in our cars and when we relax. I call this scenario 'Office Back'. 

To help remedy some common causes of mechanical pain, I have written some specific exercise programmes to help you start start feeling more mobile and less stiff.  When the body is more mobile, it becomes more able and that means you can work harder and achieve more:

Exercise

Exercise of course is what is necessary for gaining strength, endurance and changing your body shape.  Exercise is also crucial for maintaining good health as well, especially for the heart and lungs. 

I have created a lot of content to help you with exercise. To get you started you could try my 'Minimum Kit, Maximum Results' Workout.  This is a simple H.I.I.T (High Intensity Interval Training) circuit style workout.  You only need a chair and the floor and it's only four exercises.  Dead simple, yet super effective and you can do it anywhere:

The fitness industry is a busy place and there are a ton of trainers you could get help and advice from.  So why should you choose me to help you?

I'm down to earth and understand the needs of 'real' people  - I have spent the last 20 years listening, empathising and understanding the needs of the people I work with.  I have become an expert at providing solutions to not just the physical side of my client's goals but their emotional needs too. From backache to building confidence, I have got you covered.

I'm a certified Sports Therapist - 90% of the population suffer with some form of postural pain, which means it's likely you do too.  Aside from fitness training, I can help you with correcting the cause of your aches and pains to have you feeling younger and fitter than ever before.

I can help you in a variety of ways - I have qualifications and experience in ante and post-natal exercise, boxing training, kick-boxercise, core conditioning, bodybuilding, weight loss, rehabilitation, sports specific training and more.

I will help you work smart, not hard - I'm not all about the grind - exhausting your body on one hand but ignoring your nutritional and therapeutic needs on the other - not smart.  Instead, we will take an intelligent approach to your training needs. To focus on specifically what it is you need to do to achieve the best results possible and to maintain consistency.

I genuinely want to help you - Ever since I was a teenager I have had a passion for coaching, mentoring and developing individuals who have asked for my help.  I started this website as a means of helping more people than I could physically see in a day.  If you have plateaued, just starting out or aren't sure how to move forward with your goals, I would love to help you too.
